Lost in the outskirts of London, England. Children of all ages, get lost, and are scavenging for food. A bright path appears to those who need it most.

Mitchel woke up early on a windy October morning. He wanted to roll over and fall back asleep, then he remembered the whole reason he woke up early in the first place. It was his first day of school. He had no idea what time it would start, so he decided the night before that he would wake up at five o-clock just in case. He was hoping that he would go with Jayden, so he wouldnt be late, or really early.

He rolled out of bed onto the floor, and then stood up. He was nervous jet excited. He had never been to a school before, but he had heard that it wasn't much fun in books. Some books said that school was the best place ever. He guessed that id depended how smart a person wos, and MItchel wasn't at all that smart. He had been studying though, so he wouldnt get made fun of. He knew how to read pretty well, and even though spelling wasn't his strong suit, he was pretty good at writing too.

Mitchel walked over to a small drawr where he kept his few clothes. It didn't take him long to find the perfect thing to wear. He quickly put on a plain, brown, button up shirt and black pants that had never been worn before. He looked over toward an old cracked mirror in the corner of his room and approved of his outfit choice.

He opened his bedroom door to a hallway that led to the bathroom. Hewashed his face in a tub of water that he had prepered the night before, and washed his hair with some things from the barber shop.He then brushed his teeth with some supplies from the General Store Once he was done with that he went back to his room to see himself in the cracked mirror. He smiled at his reflection and thought to himself, What's up, good lookin? Somthing was missing though, somthing just didnt look right.

Of course! It was his hair! Usually mitchel just woke up and didn't do anything to his hair in the morning. Of course he occasionally washed it, but he never brushed through it, unless you count ruffleing his hair with his fingers. He went back to the bathroom and found a black comb and brushed through his snarley hair. It was pretty painful for a bit, but after a while he couldn't even feel the comb going though his hair. He looked back in the mirror again and he barely recognised himself. He looked almost like a normal kid in london, not like a street rat. like he usually did.

He rished down the stairs and slipped his only shoes on, put his hat on hit head, and walked out the door. It was still dark, but the sun was rising. Mitchel hoped school didn't start at sunrise, or else he was skrewed. He walked up to Jaydens door and knocked loudly. "Hey Jay! I'm ready for school! Do you know what else I need?"

((XDD oh the joys of Word Wars))
The sun shone through Jayden’s window. A groan emerged from her, signaling that she knew she needed to get up, but really did not want to. At least today was the first day of school, and she had told Mitchel that she was going to help him get ready, because he hadn’t ever had a first day of school.

The sun was just peaking over the horizon when Jayden had literally fallen out of her bed, while trying to untangle herself from the swaddled covers. She grabbed a cute plaid skirt, and a nice-ish shirt. Jayden headed over to a makeshift mirror of hers that was lying on the desk of her bedroom. The girl saw her hair as a mess. She knew that she didn’t want to go out in public, other than with the Ghost Town kids, with this atrocious of hair. She grabbed a jumper, and slid it over her head as she walked out of her house, heading towards the barber shop for some hair treatment.

The crisp autumn air was cold enough to where Jay could see her breath. “Gosh it’s cold out,” she muttered under her breath. After a five minute walk, the barber shop came into view. While on that walk, she swore her legs were going to freeze that day. Jayden walked in the doors of the barber shop, and grabbed a couple of this that she needed. After brushing through her hair rather quickly, she tied her hair up with a simple black ponytail.

Jay braved back outside to her house. The walk back was a lot shorter than she had expected it to be.

When she had gotten back to her house, she saw Mitchel standing at the door. Oh no, I hope he wasn't there long. This cold is so bitter, she thought. She sneaked up behind him, "Hey! Sorry. Have you been out long?" The coldness of the outside was unbearable. She looked down at her legs, as they were covered in goosebumps. As she glanced back up, she knew that she needed something to cover her legs. "Hey, come on in!" she said, opening her door and standing off to the side to let Mitchel in.

Once they were inside the house, Jayden murmured, "I'll be right back. I need some socks." Jayden ran up the stairs of her house to her bedroom, and flicked off her shoes. She grabbed a pair of knee-high socks from a drawer, slipped them on. After tying her simple school shoes back on, she exited her room then went back down to help Mitchel.

She looked at him, "So, what do you think you would need help on?"
